Omri Amrany and Julie Rotblatt-Amrany, husband and wife, founded and developed the Rotblatt-Amrany Studio in Highland Park, IL. They work in a variety of mediums: carving stone, sculpting clay for bronze and glass casting and electroforming and they draw, do oil painting and design wall tapestries. They have created statues of figures, including a Michael Jordan at Chicago's United Center, Harry Caray at Wrigley Field, Detroit Tigers Hall of Fame Players at Comerica Park and Wilt Chamberlain at Wachovia Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa. They have exhibited and sold their sculptures and paintings both nationally and internationally.
Scheduled Commissions & Installations
Second quarter 2005 Julie and Omri unveiled of the Capt. James Lovell: Quest for Explorationsculpture commissioned for Chicago's Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum.
Second quarter 2006 Omri unveiled Fusion: The Centennial Commemoration for the City of Gary, Indiana.
Fourth Quarter 2006 The Studio unveiled honorarium sculpture for Barry Alvarez, Head Football Coach and Pat Richter, Director of Athletics at University of Wisconsin Madison.
Omri and Julie will unveil Freedoms Sacrifice, Memorial for American Veterans commissioned by Highland Park, Illinois American Legion Post 145.
Fourth Quarter 2007 Omri will be in Hong Kong for the unveiling of their tribute to Jackie Chan, the first of several pieces commissioned by the JC Group.
Both Julie and Omri are exploring new media, such as electroforming and white bronze. They seek opportunities to apply their experience in creating 'established fine art' with significant advancement into the design, media, and presentation of the next generations of fine art.
