Love without Boundary — Xu Mengjia Painting, Calligraphy, Seal and Tea Pot Cutting Exhibition jointly held by ArtNetworking and Shui On Group is going to inaugurate in Shanghai One Xintiandi on September 6th. Xu Mengjia is an international and pioneer expert in painting, calligraphy and seal cutting, art theoretician after the Culture Revolution. Since Xu Mengjia’s childhood, he has been a student of Qian Shoutie, Xu Pusheng to learn painting, calligraphy and seal cutting. His works is of primitive simplicity, broad-minded, tasteful, precise, delicate, and excellent both in painting and writing.

Being a scholarly artist and artist-like scholar, in addition to painting, calligraphy, seal cutting, Xu Mengjia also devotes great effort to aesthetics, ancient writing, literature, philosophy, and modern design and drama theories and so on. His achievements cover several collections of art works, compositions, translation works and so on. He was granted the prize of the first outstanding accomplishment of literature in China. He enjoys great reputation between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan and in Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia and other countries and regions. Many personal exhibitions have been held by him both at home and abroad. His works shock the audiences and were collected by museums, art galleries and distinguished groups and well-known persons.

People experience a whole lot in one’s lifetime. He once lived in Shanghai, Jilin, and Beijing. In 1988, he went to Japan. He settled down in Taiwan in 1995. He acted as professor or gave lectures in the famous universities like Taiwan Normal University, Beijing University, and Tsinghua University and so on for many years. Now he is the member of Esthetics Academy, Association of Calligrapher in China, Association of Artists in China, Cultural relic Academy, and Academy of Chinese culture Spirit. At the same time, he is the president of Seminar of Painting, Calligraphy, and Seal Cutting in Taiwan, secretary-general of China Art Association. This is the first exhibition for Xu Mengjia after he left his hometown Shanghai 20 years ago.
